16th-century alabaster tomb of Humfrey Peyto, who died on March 30, 1585, and his wife Anne. The date of his wife's death (1604) is not inscribed. The tomb was created by the alabaster craftsmen of Burton-upon-Trent ⓘ, who by the end of the 16th century had supplanted those of Nottingham.
