Four-spotted Moth
Four Spotted Moth (Tyta luctuosa)

Aediinae is a subfamily of Noctuidae moths. These are typically medium-sized noctuid moths, often with muted brown, gray, or reddish forewings patterned for camouflage. Some species may have more distinct transverse lines or spots, but they generally blend well with their environment. Caterpillars are usually smooth-bodied, not heavily hairy (unlike some in Acronictinae). They feed on a variety of herbaceous plants and sometimes shrubs, depending on the species. They tend to feed on low vegetation and are less specialized than some other noctuid groups.
