Spotted Sulphur Moth
Spotted Sulphur (Emmelia trabealis)

Eustrotiinae is a subfamily of Noctuidae moths. Usually small to very small moths (often less than 20 mm wingspan) the forewings are often narrow and patterned with intricate lines, zigzags, or blotches, sometimes with metallic or silvery patches. Colours range from brown and gray to purplish or greenish, often providing camouflage on bark or leaves. The hindwings are generally lighter (gray, whitish, or translucent) and less patterned. At rest they sit with wings folded roof-like over the body, appearing slender and inconspicuous. The caterpillars are small, slender, smooth-bodied larvae that typically feed on herbaceous plants, grasses, or sometimes mosses and low vegetation. Some are leaf-rollers or leaf-tiers, while others feed openly.
