    The manifestation of Christ to the Gentiles as represented by the Magi.

    A depiction of Jesus as a shepherd who lays down his life for his flock.

  • Harrowing-of-Hell

    A theme in which Christ descends into Hell to release the righteous of the Old Testament, including Adam and Eve, a belief articulated in Christian tradition from the early medieval period.

    Images concerned with healing and restoration, including miraculous acts performed by Christ, apostles, saints, and other figures.

  • Immaculate-Conception

    Catholic doctrine that the Virgin Mary was conceived without sin, formally defined as dogma in the 19th century.
