Thomas Cave - Stanford-on-Avon

The tomb of Sir Thomas Cave (d1613) and wife, consists of two effigies within a coffered arch. Both are laying on a mat with a dog at their feet, and their children in profile on the side of the chest. Of interest is the small child that is represented amongst adult siblings, this may represent that their second male child died as a youth.
