Tomb of King Henry II of England at Fontevraud Abbey, France. Henry died on the 6th of July at Chinon, having been carried back on a litter1 from the village of Colombières between Tours amd Azay-le-Rideau.2

On the night he died there were only a few servant in attendence, who robbed his corpse stealing his clothes, jewels, and what money they could find. When his body was discovered William Marshal covered him with a cloak and a guard was put in place.3
