Ce vitrail triple présente trois apôtres des listes canoniques postérieures : Barthélemy, Matthias et Simon. Leur présence s’inscrit dans la continuité de la série des figures apostoliques debout du côté sud et reflète toute l’étendue du collège apostolique tel qu’il était compris dans la tradition du haut Moyen Âge.

Le vaste vitrail du transept sud de la cathédrale de Lichfield est l'une des œuvres les plus imposantes de l'art du vitrail victorien de l'édifice. Installé entre 1869 et 1873 dans le cadre de la campagne de restauration du XIXe siècle, il a été conçu et réalisé par le prolifique atelier néogothique Clayton & Bell ⓘ®. Composé de neuf hautes lancettes surmontées de riches rangées de vitraux, le vitrail forme un cycle théologique complexe et cohérent, centré sur la Majesté du Christ et les témoins célestes et ecclésiastiques.

This fresco by Fra Angelico ⓘ, painted between 1438 and 1443 for the Dominican monastery of San Marco, presents the Baptism of Christ with the clarity, stillness, and devotional intensity characteristic of the artist’s mature period. Set against a serene, winding Jordan River and a stark, mountainous landscape, the composition emphasises the humility of the moment and the contemplative ethos of the monastery for which it was made.

This window (c1470), in the Church of Saint-Maclou, preserves fragments of a mid-15th-century Marian cycle, originally illustrating two principal episodes from the end of the Virgin’s earthly life: the Dormition (Death of the Virgin) in the lower register and the Coronation of the Virgin in heaven in the upper register. Although large sections of the original glazing have been lost, the surviving elements remain representative of the high-quality figure painting produced in Rouen around 1470.

This window is a composite assembly combining fragments of sixteenth-century stained glass with nineteenth-century architectural structures and extensive twentieth-century restoration. The present arrangement consists of five tall lancets surmounted by a unified canopy system reconstructed in 1852, with bases and pedestals also installed at that time.

Le vitrail d'Emmaüs, œuvre de Heaton, Butler & Bayne réalisée en 1925, est un triptyque en vitrail situé dans une fenêtre du chœur sud de l'église de Market Bosworth. Créé par cette firme londonienne réputée pour son style victorien et préraphaélite, il représente la Cène d'Emmaüs sur trois panneaux.

This window forms part of the Christological and donor cycle completed around 1467, stylistically linked to the Annunciation and Adoration of the Magi panels. The work is attributed to the Bourges Cathedral workshop, likely under Jean Lécuyer or André Robin, maîtres verriers active 1460–1475.

La série de vitraux représentant les saints et patriarches de la Bible, conçue par Henry Holiday et réalisée par James Powell & Sons (Whitefriars Glass) en 1891, forme l'un des ensembles les plus cohérents et les plus majestueux de la scénographie victorienne tardive de la cathédrale de Salisbury.
