Made of black and white Carrara marble this tomb is in memory of Thomas Lucy (d1640), and Alice his wife. Once thought to have been the work of Bernini it is now known that the effigies are by Schoerman assistant to Nicholas Stone who was paid the fee.

The effigy of Thomas Lucy has panels representing his interests of literature and horse riding, his death was due to falling from a horse.
