Limoniidae sp.

 

Limoniidae is a very large family of flies that are closely related to the crane flies (Tipulidae). Limoniidae species can be separated from Tipulidae by the way that they fold their wings over their bodies, whilst Tipulidae generally hold their wings outstretched. There are 10,500 described Limoniidae species in 133 genera.
