The right door of the Royal Portal at Chartres shows Mary holding Christ on her knee, below is the Presentation in the Temple. The bottom lintel shows the Annunciation, the Visitation, the Nativity, and the annunciation to the shepherds.

The north portal of Bourges Cathedral is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The Tympanum dates from between 1160 and was part of the older church the the Gothic cathedral replaced.

This image of the crowned Virgin Mary at Gloucester cathedral is part of a pair of panels in the east window the panel to the right shows Christ giving her a blessing. The glass dates from 1350 when Edward III had the abbey church rebuilt.

This stained glass window in the choir clerestory at Evreux Cathedral was installed in the last decade of the 14th century. A gift of King Charles VI of France, who is seen kneeling in the centre panel, the window also contains images of the Virgin Mary, and that of St Denis.

The three people on the left of this scene begging forgiveness are Lois II of Chalon, count of Saint Aignan, his mother, and his second wife Jeanne de Perellos. Lois had repudiated his first wife and eloped with Jeanne from the court of the Duchess of Burgundy. The text reads:

Very gentle lady of pity
Please grant us this gift
Through your kindness we beg you
That their sin should be forgiven.

to the right of the scene are St. Anne and the Vigin Mary suckling Jesus.
