This sequence of wall painting in St. Albans Cathedral show scenes from the life of the Virgin Mary on the columns of the nave.
Mary and Christ are both sitting on a double throne with two censing angels in the spandrels above them. Mary wears a coronet whilst Christ dressed in a white tunic, raises his hand in a blessing, and in the other hand he holds a book in a leather binding.
