Elasmucha grisea

 

Elasmucha is a genus of shield bug in the Pentatomidae family. There are 6 species world wide, and one species in the UK. Commonly all species of genus are called parent bugs due to the female's prolonged care of the eggs and nymphs, protecting them from predators.
