This east window at St Etheldreda was designed by Edward Burne-Jones in 1879. The figure of Christ is Crucified on a fruiting tree with the Virgin Mary on the left and St John the Evangelist to the right, golden haired angels are above both. The inscription beneath the figures reads:
per quim mihi mundus / crucifixus est et ergo mundo
John faces Christ with hands clasps. The Virgin Mary dressed in blue has a white veil over her face.
