This painting from1310-15 depicts the Tree of Life by Pacino Buonaguida. It refers to Revelation 22:2
down the middle of the g.reat street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
The lower register of the painting contains the genesis story of Creation and the fall of Adam. The upper part contains images of St Francis, St Clare and John the Evangelist.
