This is the central panel from, the late 12th century, crucifixion window at Poitiers Cathedral. The window was donated to the cathedral by King Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine.

Late 12th century mural of the Crucifixion on the south west nave pillar of St Albans cathedral.

In this image the nail that would have been in Crist's left hand is between the feet of St John.  Mary stands on the right, on the left is St John holding a book. The mural is thought to have been painted by Walter of Colchester.

This stained glass window contains panels from the early 14th century, in addition to heraldry and donar figures from the mid 13th century. The main images from left to right are St Foy, Crucifixion, St Peter, and St Albinus of Angers.

This painted Crucifixion scene (c1420) in St Peter's Raunds, Northamptonshire, once formed the backdrop to a rood. The scene shows where the Virgin Mary, and St John would be on either side of the now missing cross.

Angels carry the instruments of the passion, whilst others blow trumpets.

This fresco depicting the Crucifixion by Fra Angelico is dated between 1438 and 1443.

The scene includes the Virgin Mary, and the Dominican Saint Peter of Verona.

This crucifixion fresco was painted between 1441 and 1442 by Fra Angelico in the Chapterhouse of the Dominican monastery of San Marco in Florence.

The painting contains all the patron Saints of the Medici family in addition to images of the Fathers of the Church, Saint Dominic and the founders of the other monastic orders.

Dating from around 1505 this stained glass window, in St Maclou Rouen, consists of 5 lancets, the central three depict the crucifixion, whilst the left most lancet depicts Christ carrying the cross, and the right most the deposition of the body.

Sat, 10/18/2008 - 15:54 - The parish church of St. Peter's Dunchurch, Warwickshire, was extensively restored in 1908. It was rebuilt in the 14th century from an earlier church and the tower was added in the 15th century.

This east window depicting the Crucifixion in St Peter's church, Dunchurch, is by Herbert Bryans an apprentice to CE Kempe.
