Edward I dies 1307

Edward I dies at Burgh by Sands, just south of the Scottish border, on the 7th of July 1307. He had contracted dysentery on the march north to confront Robert the Bruce, and his health deteriorated, the army camped at Burgh by Sands and in the morning he died as he was awoken by his servants.
 
His body was transported back to London, and he was buried in Westminster Abbey on the 27th of October 1307.
