Bigitte Simon (1926) first worked with her father Jacques Simon, before working in Paris where she met and married Charles Marq. By 1957 Bigette and Charles had taken over the company and collaborated with contemporary artists, including Marc Chagall, to create works for religious buildings.
This window is a composite assembly combining fragments of sixteenth-century stained glass with nineteenth-century architectural structures and extensive twentieth-century restoration. The present arrangement consists of five tall lancets surmounted by a unified canopy system reconstructed in 1852, with bases and pedestals also installed at that time.
Born in August 8, 1938 in Beuavais, Claude Courageux was educated at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He spent a number of years working with other glass makers in Paris, including working with Max Ingrand, and seven years working at the firm of Jacques Gruber.

Although biographical information on Catherine Menu remains scarce, her surviving ecclesiastical glass situates her within the post-war renewal of sacred art in France, a movement that sought to reconcile liturgical tradition with the visual language of modernism. Menu appears to have been active from the 1970s through the 1990s, producing windows for parish churches in the Loir-et-Cher and surrounding departments.
