Diplazon laetatorius

This species has been recorded from the Canadian artic to Argentina, from Norway to South Africa, Australia, and Japan. It has the widest distribution of any ichneumonidae and is predominately a parasite of hoverfly larvae. Because it is a parasite of beneficial hoverfly larvae that feed upon aphids it can be considered an agricultural  pest in its own right.
