Coronation of William II of England 1087

On the 26th of September 1087, William Rufus the 3rd son of William the Conqueror, was crowned William II of England. William's elder brother, William the Conqueror's second son, having died in a hunting accident in 1070. The ceremony took place at Westminster abbey and was conducted by Archbishop  Lanfranc of Canterbury.
