Manor house Ashby St LedgersPrincipal home of the Catesby family from 1375 to the first part of the 1600s. The manor was briefly confiscated in 1485 following the execution of William Catesby, a principle councilor to Richard III, who had been captured by Henry Tudor at the Battle of Bosworth (22 August 1485).

What makes All Saints Middleton Cheney special is the stained glass work by Morris & co. The East window memorial to William Croome (d1865) was designed by the company 1864.

St. Giles - ChestertonThe parish church of St Giles, Chesterton, is mostly of an early C14 Decorated style, with some remnants of an earlier C13 church. The church itself is in an isolated field some distance from the village, but near to the old Peytos mansion that was pulled down in 1802.

Built from Hornton stone in C13, parts of St Peter's parish church are early 12th century, with the squat tower being added in the later part of the century, the church was valued at £10 in 1291. The village and estate was owned by the Spencer family.

Upper Shuckburgh, church A church has been on this site since the 13th Century but the only original part is the base of the tower, the upper part of the tower is 18th century. Most of the rest of the church was rebuilt in 1844.

The interior contains a number of 16th-18th century monuments, dedicated to the Shuckburgh family.
