Lobin Studios

Lobin studios operated from 35 rue des Ursulines in Tour at between 1853 and 1892. The family business was started by Julien Léopold Lobin(1814-1864), and run by his son Lucien Léopold Lobin (1837-1892) after 1864. The company also worked with other glass makers including a long relationship with Jean-Prosper Florence.
A three light Hardman window depicting the three Mary's at the tomb. The central panel shows the angel, whilst the left are Mary, the mother of James, and Mary of Clopas. The right hand panel depicts Mary of Magdalene carrying a vessel of oil.
This window by Hardman & Co. illustrates the first of Christ's Miracles.

Situated in the east window of the south aisle, of the church of St Peter and St Paul, Maidford, Northamptonshire, this stained-glass memorial commemorates Arthur William Grant, who died on 19 December 1878, aged fifty-five. The window was installed circa 1880, by John Hardman & Co. of Birmingham, whose workshop was among the foremost exponents of the Gothic Revival style.

Founded as Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Company in 1861 by the socialist artist and designer William Morris along with Ford Madox Brown, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Peter Paul Marshall, Philip Webb, Charles James Faulkner, and Edward Burne-Jones. The company initially concentrated on ecclesiastical decoration including stained glass, and architectural carving from premises in London’s Red Lion Square, but moved to Queens Square, Bloomsbury in 1865.
