Pope Urban II dies 1099

Pope Urban II dies in Rome on the 29th of July 1099. He is followed by Pope Paschal II.
 
He was a supporter of the Gregorian reforms, started by his predecessor, and had to contend with the antipope Clement III.
 
His speech at Clermont in 1095 started of the First Crusade.
