The central doorway at Notre-Dame Paris, was sculpted starting in about 1230. It consists of Christ in Majesty (showing the marks of the Crucifixion) with the Virgin Mary and St John on either side of him. This was a common scene to be sculpted on Medieval Gothic churches, and other examples exist at Bourge, and Chartres, amongst others.
