Dante Alighieri Tomb by Ricci Stefano - Santa Croce Florence

This tomb, located in Santa Croce Florence, is dedicated to Dante Alighieri (d1321) is by Ricci Stefano who created it between 1819 and 1830.

Dante is actually buried at Ravenna because he was exiled from Florence in 1302 for political reasons, Florence refused to allow him to return and after he died Ravenna refused to allow his body to be returned to the city.
