Hedya is a genus of moths in the Tortricidae family. Members of Hedya are small to medium-sized moths, with forewings usually displaying complex patterns of browns, greys, whites, and sometimes hints of black. They often have a somewhat mottled or marbled look, with distinctive markings that can make them tricky to distinguish from related genera. Some Hedya species can be minor pests in orchards, since larvae damage fruit trees by feeding on buds, flowers, or young fruit. The host plants are often trees and shrubs, including fruit trees (apple, pear, cherry, plum) and other hardwoods, where the larvae are leaf-rollers or leaf-tiers, feeding inside leaves that they fold or roll together with silk.
