This crucifixion fresco was painted between 1441 and 1442 by Fra Angelico in the Chapterhouse of the Dominican monastery of San Marco in Florence.

The painting contains all the patron Saints of the Medici family in addition to images of the Fathers of the Church, Saint Dominic and the founders of the other monastic orders.
