Medieval stained glass

St. James Twycross is an early C14 church with C15 west tower. The east window was presented to the church by Sir Walter Waller in 1840. It contains many pieces of French stained glass from the C12 and C13.

Twycross is a few miles from the site of the Battle of Bosworth which saw the defeat of Richard III the last Plantagenet king, the rise of Henry VII as first of the Tudor dynasty, and the end of the Wars of the Roses.
