Seven Deadly Sins

 
This C15 (c1420-1450) painting at Raunds in Northamptonshire, has female figure representing Pride, at the mouth of hell, being speared by Death. Around her are her six children representing the other deadly sins.
 
Clockwise from top right they are Gluttony, Lechery, Sloth, Envy, Anger, and Avarice (the detail of which is now very unclear).
